This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of this historic event.  We are recruiting for a number of temporary security vacancies across all levels including: Search (people, bags, vehicles), Access Control, CCTV and alarm monitoring and X-Ray operation.

With over 10 million people attending the London 2012 games, the eyes of the world will turn to us to keep everyone safe and secure, and you’ll play a vital role in making this happen. As part of Team G4S, you could be doing anything from guarding to performing personal searches at venue entrances.

No experience is necessary (for most of the roles). We'll pay you to undertake all the training you need, to get you up and running, including the training and provision of an SIA licence worth £220. What's more, the licence is valid for three years, so this lasting legacy will enable you to continue on in a security career as well as work with G4S at events such as Wimbledon, Silverstone and The Grand National.

Hourly rates start at £8.50 with more for senior or specialist positions. Some roles may require an immediate start. Transport and accommodation may be provided in certain circumstances.

G4S is the official security services provider to 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We'll be providing a range of security services to over 100 competition and non-competition venues in London and around the UK including:

•  The Olympic Park in Stratford

•  Sporting venues across the UK including
•  football stadiums and the Sailing Village

•  The Olympic Villages and Hotels

•  Athletes training venues

•  Logistics centres
